FLYING TO LISBON
Lisbon Portela Airport (sometimes also known as Lisbon Humberto Delgado Airport) is situated 7km from the city centre. TAP Portugal, the Portuguese airline, and many major international and low cost airlines, fly daily to and from Lisbon.
The airport is very well connected to the city centre by Metro, bus and taxi. For more information on transportation from the airport, please click here.

COMING BY TRAIN
Many national and international trains arrive in Lisbon every day. The main station is Gare do Oriente (also known as Lisboa-Oriente), but other stations are Entrecampos and the terminal station Santa Apolónia. All the stations have direct bus and underground connections to the city centre.

MOVING AROUND IN LISBON
METRO: The Lisbon underground service begins at 06:30 and closes shortly after midnight. You will find more information on Metropolitano de Lisboa
BUSES are also available day and night. Please visit Carris – Transportes Públicos de Lisboa. To use the underground services you will need to purchase a VIVA card when you make your first trip. It costs 0,50€ and you can top it up as you go. Buses accept VIVA card and cash.
TAXIS in Lisbon are surprisingly good value for traveling around the city and are convenient for tired tourists or late night arrivals. All taxis charge a 1,60€ fee for luggage in the boot.
