THE RETREAT

This silent retreat at Zen Art House is an opportunity to take up Mooji's invitation to enquire into, recognise and awaken to our inner reality as conscious presence. It is immediate and direct experience, the swift and natural outcome of self-enquiry. This exploration is conducted in a protective and loving space shared with others who are called by the same voice.
Silently, we will eat, sleep and move in an environment free from the usual demands, pressures and distractions of social interacting. It is not an aim or search for peace but a chance to discover and experience the inherent silence, beauty and completeness of the Beingness we are. You will have the opportunity to share, verbally, your concerns with Mooji during Satsang only. Mooji will not receive any questions after the session.

There is a beautiful force which radiates from Mooji's presence, a joyous yet impersonal intimacy which enables us to open up fully and fearlessly to the freedom that Satsang invites us to embrace.

GUIDELINES

• Satsangs are as usual, an opportunity and space to present our questions, doubts, concerns, observations, etc. to Mooji. Be open, honest and natural with Mooji as though you were alone with him. Mooji honours and serves our persistence and determination for self-discovery.

• Outside formal Satsang time, it is required there be strictly no physical contact, talking, singing, reading or writing; also avoid engaging the attention of others by way of eye contact. Please abide by these rules.

• Please move about quietly and with your attention resting in the silent awareness within.

• Couples are requested to remain apart for the duration of the retreat.

• Obviously in an emergency the general rule structure is suspended in order to serve the needs of the moment and to restore harmony.

DAILY ROUTINE

There will be Satsang twice daily.
Mornings at: 10.00am to 11.30am
Evenings at: 6.30pm to 8.00pm

First Satsang will be on Friday 27th evening, at 9.00pm. The last Satsang is on Wednesday 2nd morning at 10.00am followed by lunch after which all will begin their journey home.

Outside of formal Satsang, there is time to rest, sleep or go walking.

ACCOMMODATION

Satsangs will take place in an old 18th century villa in Lecce's countryside. Available accommodation consists of a dormitory for 8 people, 3 double rooms and 2 triple rooms. There is also the possibility of camping on the land surrounding the house.
If you wish to camp, please bring your own tent and let us know that you are coming.
The number of people in residence will be limited to 55.

COST

- €200 (or €40/day) for people sleeping in the house,
- €175 (or €35/day) sleeping in tent (one person)
- €150 (or €30/day) sleeping in tent (two people sharing it),
inclusive of food and accommodation, for the duration of the retreat (Friday 27th evening until Wednesday 2nd afternoon.)

Each extra day spent in Zen Art House will be charged at 30€/day indoor, 27€/day in tent (one person) or 22€/day in tent (two people sharing a tent). It is important to make clear that during these extra days cooking and house mantainance will be taken care of by everybody. The house staff will provide food, beverages, etc.

In addition, a contribution of €15 per Satsang or €150 for the entire retreat goes to Mooji.

HOW TO GET THERE

By plane: the closest airport is Brindisi (www.ryanair.com). Since the majority of people are arriving on the afternoon flight from London on Thursday 21st, we will organize a minibus that will collect you from the airport. It is very important for us to know the number of people who require collection from this flight.

By car: once in Lecce, take the road to Novoli/ Villa Convento. After 7 km you will arrive in the little village of Villa Convento. Stop at the square and call us. We will come to meet you there.

By train: Just in front of Lecce Railway Station, take the coach number 26 to Villa Convento (15 minutes). Get out at terminus, call us and we will come to pick you up.
