The highest opportunity of a human birth is to awaken to that which brings true and lasting happiness, unending peace and imperishable existence —the pure Awareness essence. The earnest seeker alone finds this.
This 5-day online retreat is for mature and earnest seekers who have been in Satsang for some time and are familiar with An Invitation to Freedom and what it reveals in you. It offers a format of one Satsang daily that reflects Moojibaba’s wish to engage with dedicated students who are ready to apply the guidance offered.
An essential aspect of this retreat is contemplative time to facilitate a deepening of understanding, a ripening in Being. There will be potent contemplation guidances, dedicated online spaces and ample time for introspection in support of this. It is a powerful opportunity to immerse yourself in the energy-field of Satsang and be established in your experiential understanding of Truth.
In a dedicated retreat area on our newly upgraded website, participants can join the online Contemplative Spaces and Live Satsang Broadcast. Every Satsang, a group of participants are invited to join via Zoom (a different platform), where they have the opportunity to bring forward their burning questions by writing letters and engaging with Mooji. Everyone will be invited to join one of the scheduled Satsangs on Zoom.
During Satsang, Mooji guides, challenges and responds to questioners with wisdom, love, humour and searing honesty. Through Mooji’s presence and direct pointings to Truth, the unfading love, joy and peace that so many are searching for are revealed to be our very nature and Self.
Participating in this Call to Awakening Retreat is a compelling invitation to all who are called to discovering and abiding as this timeless Truth.
Registration closes at 8:00am on Monday, 17 January (Lisbon time).
This is two days before the start of the Retreat as we will be sharing Essential Pre-Retreat Guidances from Mooji on 17 & 18 January to help set the tone and establish the foundation for the Retreat.

This Call to Awakening Retreat is for those who are genuinely drawn to Self-discovery. This environment is not for the merely curious, but for those who have a sincere and wholehearted commitment to Self-discovery. Each participant is asked to follow these guidelines which are in place to facilitate your awakening.
You agree to have your image and voice recorded and possibly used for the sharing of Satsang on DVD, mp3 and on the Internet. All recorded material will be used to serve Satsang only. Images of all individuals will be treated with the utmost sensitivity and respect.
This online Call to Awakening Retreat will take place in a dedicated retreat area on Mooji TV. As this event is for those already familiar with Satsang, additional time and supporting resources are offered for contemplation to really absorb and deepen in the guidance given during Satsang.
Satsang with Moojibaba
Satsang will be offered daily via Live Broadcast, with another group joining on Zoom. Everyone will be invited to join one of the scheduled Satsangs on Zoom.
Moojibaba will read and respond to letters from the Zoom call participants, and may also speak with someone in the Zoom call, answering questions, doubts or testimonies regarding Self-discovery. Those watching these exchanges on the broadcast benefit greatly from Moojibaba’s universal answers that guide us into the direct experience of Truth.
Which Satsang can I join on Zoom? During registration you can let us know which Satsang you would prefer to join on Zoom. We will do our best to accommodate everyone’s preference and send out the invitations before the start of the retreat.
Sahaja Spaces ~ Online Contemplation Areas
Inspired by the beauty and nature of Monte Sahaja, the Centre for Self-Realisation in Portugal, Sahaja Spaces offers a way to visit the various contemplative spaces in Monte Sahaja online via Zoom. These are open throughout the retreat.
You can contemplate in the sacred spaces such as the Christ Chapel, Shiva Temple and Mooji Mandir, or in serene nature areas such as the Ganga Lagoon. We have found that this is a wonderful way to be immersed in the potent energy field of Monte Sahaja from wherever you may find yourself around the world.
Special contemplative videos with Moojibaba reading from sacred texts will also be offered as a support for this contemplative aspect of the Call to Awakening Retreat.
Recordings & Broadcasts
The Satsangs and Guided Meditation with Moojibaba will be via Live Broadcast, while other offerings will be recordings such as potent Contemplation Guidances to support your deepening in Satsang.
See the Schedule below for more information about what will be offered
The retreat begins with a Welcome and Retreat Opening Program on Wednesday, 19 January, which includes a powerful Satsang recording and opening of the Sahaja Spaces for contemplation. This is followed by five live Satsangs and a Guided Meditation with Moojibaba over five days.
Having one Satsang daily allows time to marinate and deepen in the guidance that has been given, and also allows more flexibility for Moojibaba to continue the Satsang according to the flow and needs of the retreat.
Another essential aspect of the retreat is a series of potent Satsang talks and guidances:

Making the most of this opportunity
This Call to Awakening Retreat is more than just the scheduled Satsangs. It is highly recommended that you arrange quiet, contemplative time and space for yourself whenever possible. This greatly supports you making the most of your opportunity. You can find some additional suggestions in the General section of the FAQs.
Technical Requirements for joining this Online Retreat can be found here
The retreat is in English, and live translation is available in French, Italian, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish for the broadcast.
It is possible to submit letters for Mooji in the above languages and our team will translate them. Live Translation for each language will also be available in selected Zoom calls, with each language being allocated a particular session. Each participant will have the opportunity to attend one Satsang session on Zoom (if they like), and priority for a particular session will be given to those who require translation in the language being offered on Zoom.
This translation service is being lovingly offered by non-professional interpreters joining online from around the world, and the quality may vary. It is helpful for some participants to listen to Satsang in their native language, however there is always the possibility that some of Mooji’s words or meaning is missing or not translated perfectly. Naturally, Mooji’s own, unfiltered words are the highest and most powerful transmission, but many have benefitted deeply from listening to the live translation.
“There are no dialogues in the world.
It is all a divine monologue.
For in reality there are not two.
There is only the single reality
in its appearance as many.”
~ Mooji

Registration is now closed
Registration closed two days before the start of the retreat as we shared Essential Pre-Retreat Guidances from Moojibaba on 17 and 18 January to help set the tone for this time together. Concession applications are also closed.
€190 (includes VAT)
The price includes the live Satsang recordings of the retreat (streaming and downloadable for at least 6 months). Streaming is available shortly after the end of each Satsang, and downloads will be available within 2 weeks after the end of the retreat.
Change to Group Participation (updated)
In previous retreats we trialed offering a way for groups to join. While this had some benefits, it was also quite complex and led to a lot of challenges, both for the team and participants, and we felt it was not fully in service to those participating. For this retreat, each one should sign up directly for the retreat, rather than accessing the retreat via a friend who has signed up. An exception to this is for those living in the same household – you may buy one ticket for the household.
If after registering individually, you wish to watch together in a physical or online group setting, that is fine, as long as all those who join have registered for the retreat themselves. Those facing financial hardship may apply for a concession on the link above. If you or someone you know is unable to register directly for any reason, please contact us here and we can offer support.
A silent retreat is not a spiritual novelty, but a powerful aid to plunging inside the ocean of one’s own being. Embrace this opportunity with earnestness and trust. This is your chance.
~ Mooji
Satsang means ‘association with the highest Truth’ and refers to a gathering of people who are searching for who or what they truly are at the deepest level. Satsang often takes place in the presence of an awakened teacher or master. Seekers will ask questions and the master will respond to clear up any doubts, misunderstandings or apparent obstacles. Satsang, Self-inquiry and ‘An Invitation to Freedom’ are all powerful aids to discovering your true nature and timeless freedom. A lasting discovery of Truth is often referred to as self-realisation, enlightenment or awakening. More information can be found on the Satsang page.
We encourage everyone to attend all the sessions of the retreat, however if this is not possible, the recordings are available to stream or download for at least 6 months after the event. Streaming is possible shortly after the end of each Satsang, and downloads will be available within 2 weeks after the end of the retreat.
As much as possible throughout the retreat, move quietly with your attention resting in silent awareness. Some suggestions that you may wish to consider:
– Preparing your space can contribute greatly to the atmosphere. For example, a clean and quiet space where you are comfortable and undisturbed can be supportive.
– Take a moment to consider how to be free from distractions and interruptions. Eg. turn off your phone; close apps and other tabs on the computer; where possible, let friends and family know that you would prefer not to be disturbed
– The time you spend prior to and after Satsang is of utmost importance to allow the pointings to settle deeply inside your heart. Sitting quietly at these times can be very powerful, even if it is just for 10 minutes.
– Keep your attention focused inwards throughout the retreat even while engaging in necessary practical daily activities and interactions.
– Arrange some quiet contemplative time, and avoid unnecessary distractions throughout the retreat, such as watching movies/tv, browsing social media etc.
The most important requirement is a sincere and wholehearted commitment to self-discovery. While it is recommended to have plenty of time for contemplation, and a calm and peaceful space to join the retreat, it is still possible to benefit greatly from the retreat in other circumstances. Our suggestion would be to be as present as possible during the Satsangs (live or recorded), and to avoid any unnecessary additional activities other than what is required of you.
During the retreat, Mooji will mostly take written questions and may call on those who have joined the Zoom call for that Satsang. Before each Satsang, a number of questions are printed from those that are joining the Satsang on Zoom. Those who wish to ask Mooji a question can fill in the Question for Mooji form available after registration, and some of these letters will be read in Satsang.
During registration, you can indicate which Satsang session you would prefer to join on Zoom (if any). The Zoom invitation emails will be sent out the day before the retreat, on Tuesday, 18 January by 23:00 (11pm) Lisbon time. We try to accommodate everyone’s preference, but as we cannot guarantee this, it is important to read this email before the start of the retreat to confirm which session you will attend on Zoom. Letters almost always come from someone present in that particular Zoom call.
Letters in French, Portuguese, Italian, Spanish and Russian: It is possible to write letters to Mooji in these languages and our team will translate them. Mooji may read some translated letters during the Satsang where translation is available in the Zoom for that particular language (each satsang will offer translation for all languages on the Live Broadcast, but only 1 languages within the zoom call)
The retreat is in English, and live translation is available in French, Portuguese, Italian, Russian and Spanish for the broadcast for all Live Satsangs. We will not be able to offer translation for technical support.

Zoom is a video and audio conferencing platform that allows calls for groups of people. The free account offered by Zoom is sufficient to participate in this retreat. You can find out more about Zoom here.
No, most participants will watch each Satsang via the Live Broadcast. During Satsang, a smaller, changing group of participants will be in a Zoom call with Mooji. Everyone will have the opportunity to join one Satsang session on Zoom (if they like). Much like in a physical retreat, most of the retreat participants are being guided through Mooji’s universal exchanges with questioners that come forward.
Additionally there will be several online contemplative areas offered via Zoom. These Sahaja Spaces include the Mooji Mandir, Shiva temple, Christ Chapel, and Ganga Lagoon from Monte Sahaja, the Center for Self-Realisation in Portugal. In these Zoom calls, video footage from these beautiful areas will be played, while the participants can sit quietly and contemplate in the potent spiritual atmosphere. These are not interactive spaces, so those joining the call will have their audio muted.
A group of participants will join each Satsang via Zoom, while the rest of the participants watch a live broadcast via the retreat homepage.

Monday, 17 January

Joining this practice call will help to ensure that you are comfortable in Zoom and with the settings that will suit you for this retreat.
Please note: we can only offer technical support in English. Also, given the number of people connecting, we will be unable to offer technical support during Satsang itself.
We are taking care to ensure that the Zoom calls are configured in a way that ensures a good retreat experience for everyone. People will not be able to interrupt, and will only be able to speak if called upon. Extra features such as chat and screen share will be disabled to avoid unnecessary noise and interruptions.
Please try refreshing the page and closing / re-opening your browser. If you are having consistent issues trying to watch the stream, please try switching to Google Chrome web browser.
If you are experiencing recurring buffering, please make sure your internet connection is fast enough to support streaming: www.speedtest.net (should be at least 1.5 Mbps download)
If you have a slower internet connection, please try lowering the playback resolution by clicking on the gear icon in the bottom right corner of the video player.
Wherever possible, connect to internet using a cable rather than WiFi
If you have confirmed your connection is fine and you have been able to watch the stream successfully so far, the problem may be on our end. We will be working to fix the issue and you can contact us here to let us know what is happening for you.
If you have not been able to establish a connection to the stream at all, please take a screenshot and send it to us here.
Live Satsang is usually broadcast with two or more different quality streams. You can adjust the quality setting in the lower right corner of the player. Select the highest quality that your internet bandwidth can handle.
