Nothing on this earth or in the heavenly realms can overwhelm or overcome you when you know who you truly are. Your true Self is perfect, complete and unchanging. In Satsang, a gathering in Truth, this discovery is made possible. Welcome to Satsang.

~ Mooji

We are very happy to share that Mooji has been invited to offer 5 days of Satsang in Tiruvannamalai in January, 2020. Moojibaba came to Tiruvannamalai to be at the feet of Arunachala, and these Satsangs arose spontaneously in response to many requests that have come to him. We are delighted and deeply honoured for these Satsangs to be taking place in the holy town of Tiruvannamalai in the powerful presence of Arunachala.

Location & Schedule

Vetri Rice Mill
Tiruvannamalai, India

Satsangs will take place daily from 22 – 26 January at 10am. Satsang generally runs for 1.5 – 2.5 hours, but also occasionally longer or shorter.

The Satsangs are free of charge; donations are welcome.

Additional Information about Entrance for Satsang
We are using a lottery system for entrance to the Satsang Hall. We have found this to be the best way of removing the need for anyone to arrive early to queue.

  • The gate opens at 8:45.
  • The lines fill up until they are full (around 9:00)
  • When the bell rings everyone must be inside the queuing area.
  • The lottery begins; the person in the first row of each line draws a number.
  • Each line will then enter the hall in the order that has been selected by the lottery.
  • Anyone who is not inside the lottery queue area by the time the lines are full will wait in a separate queue until after the lines have entered.

Important! We are not sure how many are able to attend on short notice; however, the venue capacity is relatively small (500 compared to our usual Rishikesh venue of 2000). Priority will be given to those living in India.

Information about the Open Satsangs in Rishikesh can be found here.

Guidelines

Satsang with Mooji is for those who are genuinely drawn to Self-discovery. This environment is not for the merely curious, but for those with a sincere and wholehearted commitment to Self-discovery.

We highly recommend that everyone who is considering attending first watch these videos:
An Invitation to Freedom
A Simple & Profound Introduction to Self-Inquiry
A Direct Introduction to Perfect Presence

By attending Open Satsangs with Mooji in Tiruvannamalai you agree to the following guidelines:

  • Approach each Satsang with the understanding that it is not a casual gathering—it is for those earnestly seeking Self-realisation in this life.
  • Mooji deeply appreciates your questions concerning Truth. You are encouraged to come forward in Satsang as though this is your highest opportunity for freedom. Please understand and respect that it is only during Satsang that Mooji invites questions—he will not receive questions afterwards.
  • Respect the silence inside the hall and on the premises at all times and arrive and leave quietly. Please take all social interaction outside the gate.
  • Culturally in India it is essential to dress modestly, especially in a holy city such as Tiruvannamalai. We ask those attending Satsang to respect this and to dress in a way that is in harmony with the local way of life. Shoulders, chest, buttocks and knees should be covered. Clothing should be loose and not transparent.
  • Please do not take photos or videos inside the premises. We have a designated photography and recording team that will make the photos and Satsang recordings available.
  • Switch off your mobiles phones or tablets completely during Satsang. Even a muted phone can interfere with the sound.
  • By admission to Open Satsang with Mooji you agree to have your voice or image recorded which may be used for the sharing of Satsang on DVD, mp3, the Internet and other media. All recorded material will be used to serve Satsang only and will be treated with the utmost sensitivity and respect.
  • Please avoid bringing a bag unless you really need one. If you do bring a bag, it should be no larger than 25 x 25 x 10 cm. Large bags are not permitted and you will need to leave them outside the hall. Please note that we cannot provide secure storage for large bags. Check your bag size here.
  • Glass bottles and glass thermoses are not allowed in the hall.
  • Satsang is not a replacement for any therapy or other medical treatment or diagnosis. If you are currently receiving or have previously received any medical treatment or therapy for issues related to mental health, Satsang may not be suitable for you. If you have a history of serious mental health conditions, it is not advisable to attend the Open Satsang program without ensuring it is reasonably safe to do so. Please check with a specialist healthcare practitioner whether attending the Open Satsang program is suitable for you at this time. More information can be found here.
  • Your safety is of utmost importance. Do not walk alone at night or accept rides from strangers, especially if you are a woman. More information can be found on the Sahaj Samadhi Seva Trust website under Health & Safety.

The most important thing in life is to wake up to who you truly are. You are not merely a personal being; you are the living spirit of Truth. You are the light of consciousness revealing all. You are the perceiving presence devoid of desire and attachment. You are the wisdom and love that shines from the source of existence. You are unborn Awareness.
