7-Day Silent Retreat with Mooji

I agree that Associação Mooji Sangha, and any of their partners (Mooji—Mr. Anthony Paul Moo-Young, Mooji Foundation Ltd., Mooji Media Ltd., Jai Sahaja—Alojamento e Comércio de Produtos Básicos, LDA), their directors, officers and agents, herein referred to as the Sangha Entities, shall not be liable for any adverse physical, emotional or psychological effects arising from any of Mooji’s teachings during this event and cannot monitor my physical, emotional and psychological state. I understand that I am watching a Satsang gathering with Mooji that may activate a physical, emotional, and/or psychological reaction. I take full responsibility for assessing the risk any activity poses to me. I agree to assume the liability for any injuries or damages I might experience arising out of my participation in a Satsang group gathering.
I understand that all Satsangs and instructions will be in English, and I take full responsibility for the understanding of all the instructions, especially if English is not my first language.
Use of Photography, Recordings and Broadcasting
I understand and agree that any and all recordings of Satsang gatherings, for example voice recordings, images, photos or written words of Mooji (Mr. Anthony Paul Moo-Young) are copyright of Mooji Media Ltd. and cannot be used for any purpose without prior written permission from Mooji Media Ltd. I understand and agree I may be photographed or the subject of video, audio, video-audio recordings, musical composition/performance or visuals of any kind, (hereinafter referred to collectively as the “Material”), taken during my attendance to the Satsang group gathering or my visiting in Monte Sahaja ashram, and that Mooji Media Ltd. is the sole owner of all copyright on the above mentioned Material.
I waive all of my rights to this Material, and consent that it may be used without compensation to me of any kind, for an unlimited amount of time. I understand my image, voice, dialogue or musical composition may be used in the sharing and promotion of Satsang, or other educational and informational purposes.
I agree to use any Satsang related Material shared with me with integrity and respect for Mooji, the Satsang, the Satsang participant and the Sangha entities, and only for personal and non-commercial purpose. I agree that I will not take any photographs, audio, video or audio-video recordings of any kind while I am attending any Satsang group gathering, or while visiting the venue of the Satsang group gathering, Monte Sahaja ashram. All Material related to Satsang with Mooji remains under the sole copyright of Mooji Media Ltd.
In the unlikely situation that in spite of the aforementioned provisions, I will take photos, recordings of any kind, audio, video, audio-video of Mooji, of the venue, or Satsang related, I agree that they shall become as well the ownership of Mooji Media Ltd. free of charge, for an unlimited period of time, so that, Mooji Media Ltd. is entitled to ask me with no limitation for any/all of the following actions: to delete and/or destroy the envisaged material, to share it with Mooji Media Ltd. free of charge for an unlimited period of time, or to refrain from using the Material without Mooji Media Ltd’s written consent.
If you cancel your participation in a retreat for any reason, the cancellation policy below will apply:
- If you cancel up to 31 days before the event you will receive a 75% refund.
- If you cancel 30 days to 15 days before the event you will receive a 25% refund
- If you cancel 14 days to 0 days before the event you will not receive any refund.
The above days are calendar days, not including the day on which the event starts.
I understand and agree that I must disclose an emergency contact name, phone number and/or email address that shall be used in the unlikely situation when my physical, mental health and/or safety, or that of others, is in jeopardy. I have the emergency contact person’s consent to disclose their data for this reason. I understand and agree that the assessment of the gravity of a situation shall be at the sole discretion of the Sangha entities’ representatives.
This policy explains what types of personal information will be gathered when you visit the www.mooji.org website, including when you register online, when you contact us or when you provide to us any piece of personal data, directly or inside an electronic form. If you follow a link to any other website, please check their policies before you submit any personal information to those websites.
On some parts of the website, you may be asked to provide some limited personal information, including information about physical and mental health, or gender in order to enable us to provide you with certain services (e.g. applying for an event, applying for a seva vacancy, for visiting Monte Sahaja ashram, for processing your online shop ordering, while requesting information or satsang support, to supply information in advance about Mooji’s events, activities or products such as books, videos, CDs, etc), for survey reasons (in order to adjust and develop our activity), for enable us to ensure the security and health management during your staying at the venue of the Satsang gathering and/or at Monte Sahaja ashram and/or for sharing/transferring (for example by means of an assignment/merger) services within the Sangha entities and/or for integrating and reorganising them into new or existing entities. We may store this information manually or electronically.
By supplying this information you are consenting that we process it and store it for the purposes for which it was provided. Information provided will be kept for as long as is necessary to fulfil that purpose.
How the information collected is usedPersonal information provided to us by you will only be used for the purposes stated above. Personal information will not be sold to third parties, or provided to direct marketing companies or other such organisations. Personal information collected and/or processed by us is held in accordance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998 of United Kingdom and of Law no.67/1998 of Portugal.
How we store information collected and for how long
Information which you provide to us will ordinarily be stored on our secure servers. However, we do work with third party contractors, some of whom host and operate certain features of the website. Accordingly, information that we collect from you may be collected in or transferred to a destination outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”). That information may be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or for one of our contractors.
We may disclose your personal information to third parties if we are under a duty to disclose or share such information in order to comply with any legal obligation or to protect the rights, property or safety of the our organisations, its members or others. We do not store any credit card details. Only when needed, we may share your personal data with third parties such as our event venues as well as between the organisations mentioned below.
The personal data disclosed through any and all means to us except that data which is included in photography or in any audio/video/audio-video recordings, shall be processed, shared and stored for a period of 5 years for the above mentioned purposes. Satsang Support recordings shall be kept for a maximum period of 2 years. The personal data disclosed that is included in photography or in any audio/video/audio-video recordings shall be processed, stored or shared for an unlimited period of time and only for educational, informative or promotional purposes of sharing Mooji’s teaching and pointings with the public with the utmost respect and sensitivity.
All personal data disclosed to us shall be treated as confidential by all Sangha entities’ employees, volunteers, assistants and helpers. We have implemented procedures and workflows so that we ensure that your personal data (including possible correspondence with us, Skype calls, recordings of any kind, photography, etc) will be treated with utmost respect, taking into account the principle of using your personal data lawfully, fairly and ethically only by specific people for specific purposes where is relevant for their workflow, keeping it secure and at your disposal by request.
Access to Information
The Data Protection Act 1998 (UK) and Law no.67/1998 (Portugal) gives you the right to access information held about you.
