“Who Is the One That Is Seeing the Witness?”

A spiritual seeker asks Moojiji—’You say we should finally turn to the witness to find real silence. If that witness is consciousness, or the Self, then who is the one who is seeing the witness?’

Moojiji points out that all things seen must be reporting to some observing power, but can that power itself be seen? It’s not just about coming up with the right question, but you have to follow the question to what it is pointing out.

“Don’t ask me, you find out—I’m asking you! If I tell you maybe your mind just takes it as a verbal reply, but if you find out you discover through insight.”
