An Invitation to Freedom
Satsang is to recognise consciously our true nature. Nothing on this earth or on the heavenly realms can overwhelm or overcome you when you know who you truly are.
Your true Self is perfect, complete and unchanging. And this discovery is the possibility and power, the availability and invitation of Satsang. Welcome to Satsang.
Satsang, which means ‘association with the highest Truth’, has been taking place in one form or another for as long as people have been gathering together to inquire into their true nature. Whoever is searching for the Truth is engaged in Satsang—the root of the word may be Sanskrit, but the implication is universal.
What you truly are is timeless and formless. We may call this Truth, the Self, unchanging Awareness—it is your true home, the source of love, joy and peace. In Satsang, this recognition is made possible. You are introduced to formless awareness—to God, to Truth—which is your very own source and light. You are invited and guided to recognise that this pure consciousness itself is the source of all manifestation, and that without it, nothing exists. Through the gracious encounter, presence and guidance of a living master in Satsang, we directly experience this.
Satsang can take many forms. It may be sitting in the presence of a spiritual master where seekers ask questions and receive guidance, or Satsang can take place by following the teachings offered in a video, audio recording or book. Satsang can also take the form of daily activities. Once you have the eyes and heart to see it, all of life is Satsang, calling you home to your limitless Being.
The guidance offered in Satsang with Mooji is broadly accessible and available. Whether it is through watching a video or reading a book, joining Satsang online or physically, or spending time at Monte Sahaja, the Center for Self-Realisation in Portugal—may all who yearn for Truth be brought swiftly into the true recognition of their divine nature.
A vast, potent and ever-growing library of free video and audio material is available on Mooji TV and other online channels such as YouTube. We recommend that everyone, especially those new to Satsang, make good use of this collection of timeless Satsangs with Moojibaba. For those who would like a more immersive experience, Sahaja Express is a powerful ongoing resource as it offers many of the most recent spontaneous talks with Moojibaba. It is also possible and recommended to attend Satsang events online via Live Internet Broadcast.
Being in the physical presence of a living Master and fully immersing yourself in the energy field of Satsang is a rare and blessed opportunity. Usually, throughout the year there are rich and diverse ways to be in Satsang physically. Those who have an urge to participate in this way can come to various Events or apply to visit Monte Sahaja, the Center for Self-Realisation in Portugal. However, due to the current world situation, there are no physical events scheduled and Monte Sahaja is currently closed.
Mooji’s presence and guidance is direct and immediate, yet there is also a deepening that takes place over time. It may be beneficial to first attend the Open Satsangs in India or a Satsang Intensive (physically or online) before coming to a residential Silent Retreat.
Monte Sahaja is a Center for Self-Realisation, a haven for seekers of Truth drawn towards spiritual awakening. For those who feel a deep connection with Moojibaba and have attended an event with Moojibaba physically, it is usually possible to apply to visit Monte Sahaja as part of one of our Programs. However, due to the current coronavirus pandemic, Monte Sahaja is closed and all visits and programs have been cancelled for the rest of 2020.
Mooji’s books are a wonderful way to dive into Satsang and have been translated into 20 languages. You can find out more in the Books section, and information about the many translations can be found here. All of Moojibaba’s books are available in our online Sangha Shop.
While it is difficult to single any out, it is worth mentioning that the most recent book, An Invitation To Freedom, is a radiantly alive pocketbook, with clear and direct pointing to self-realisation. And Vaster Than Sky, Greater Than Space is a wonderful introduction to Moojibaba’s pointings that also addresses how Satsang comes alive in daily life. Two other stand-out books are Mala of God, a book of deeply inspiring prayers, and White Fire, which shares over 800 powerful and direct quotes. However, each of the 7 books is a powerful aid for self-realisation and we encourage you to dip into them as guided by your own heart.
The clear and potent guidance offered in silent sittings and guided meditations with Mooji are infused with love and wisdom, bringing the earnest seeker swiftly into the natural effortless space of the Self.
There is a beautiful collection of freely available meditations with Moojibaba on Mooji TV. The meditations in the Sangha Shop have been selected for their clarity and potency, and are beautifully mastered from live recordings, including some with originally composed music.
“Be here completely, in the heart of your own self.
It is not a picture, it has no shape, it is beyond time.

In Satsang, the unreal gets emptied out. All the old tendencies thin away. The mind itself enters its source, and peace prevails.
Remember, you are not creating a new Self. You are not going to ‘perfect’ the Self. The Self is already pure. It is already here—complete. This alone needs to be clearly seen. Satsang is the mirror in which Truth is recognised.
