Someone writes in, deeply troubled by a quote from Nisargadatta Maharaj stating that ultimately one goes beyond even self-love or the love for existence. On the other hand, Papaji once said that ‘love gives awareness to awareness.’ This statement brings her some relief.

Moojibaba points out that the love Papaji is speaking about is very different, it is not a personal love. Why should the source be limited by the presence or absence of any feeling? When Maharaj speaks about transcending even love, he is speaking from the Himalayas of your Being. The lower self cannot breathe there, he has to come down for oxygen.
