The Subtlety of Non-Dual Abidance

29 Jan, 2026 | 26:18

This profound reflection on the power and nature of true abidance arose when a close student shared her discoveries from this recent period of retreat time.

“One simply knows that all experiences, however subtle, are fleeting, and that is confirmed in the Self.

This is the height of sadhana, the strict abidance in and as the Self, because the reflex of the mind, measuring and self-evaluating, will always be exposed as shadows, a kind of illusory play of the light of consciousness.

So we say abide as That. But who is doing it? Who is the ‘abider’?

What happens when we abide is that the seeming solidity of the ‘abider’ dissolves in the abidance.”
