News, Resources and Talks from Mooji

About

As the pandemic continues to affect so many around the world, we have created this page to keep the Sangha updated with news and resources, including talks from Moojibaba that have arisen during this time. We also urge everyone to keep well informed, and to follow the guidance specific to your area or country, as the situation varies greatly around the world.

We hope you will join us in praying for the health and wellbeing of all who have been or will be affected by the virus, wherever they are in the world. May its growth and impact diminish quickly; may the sick recover to newfound strength; may we all use this challenging time to continue growing in ourselves, to discover the power and grace of the eternal light within us.

Our Prayer

“Let us offer prayers and blessings
for all people and all nations of the Earth.
Let us bless that, though intense, this will also become a time
of conscious awakening and healing for everyone.
We know, from the lessons of history,
that great difficulties, disasters and challenging times
also can strengthen and unify us by dissolving the differences
that appear to divide us.

Calamities often strengthen us internally,
making us more deeply aware of the highest values of life.
Troubling times encourages us to work together,
to genuinely care for each other.
Such events make us more aware of our collective strength
when we work together as one united human family.
May we grow in unity, love and understanding.

The Lord’s Blessings be upon
all people and nations affected at this time.
May governments and all helpers move in an inspired,
co-operative and harmonious way,
so that collectively we are able to put right
whatever needs to be put right within our capacity.
Our prayer is that this disease comes to an end soon.
We believe, trust, know this will happen.

This is a prayer for our entire world and its leaders.
We pray that the greater, higher Truth which dwells inside us all
raise us up in conscious awareness of our true nature and Being
so that we become more kind, more open,
more loving, wise, peaceful and powerful in the Truth we are.
May we live fully in the joy of our real nature
in accordance with the will of the Supreme God Almighty.”

A Peaceful Mind in 5 Minutes ~ “Pure Awareness I Am” Mooji Mantra

“Today I’m going to show you with this chant
how to bring your mind back to its source.
The source of the mind, whatever state the mind may be in,
is a place of pure joy, peace, and silence.
Silence, joy, natural peace, love
—this we call perfect and formless awareness itself.

Pure Awareness, I Am
Pure Awareness, I Am
Pure Awareness, I Am
Om.”

~ Moojibaba

Remaining True in a Time of Crisis
In this touching talk, Mooji addresses the growing concerns we face as a human race in the light of the coronavirus pandemic. He offers great encouragement on the topic of fear, and shares guidance on how to stay true and wake up in this time of crisis.

“I see that this time, challenging as it is,
is also offering us a new path; a path of Grace.
Life is offering us an opportunity to go within.
The love of God serves every living being.
So Grace is here to guide us through difficult times.

I pray from my heart that each one will grow inwardly.
That we come to a higher level of life in the true sense.
That we see with more a unitive sense that we are one family,
living together with greater love and understanding.
Bless you, bless you, each and every one.”

A Simple, Powerful Prayer in Challenging Times
In this beautiful video, Moojibaba addresses the concerns and fears that many are facing in the midst of the current global crisis. Mooji shows us a powerful exercise and prayer which is a tremendous support during such trying times — a ‘Thank you’ prayer.

“I’m going to show you right now a very simple practise to help you to feel calm and integrated again. Of all the mantras, of all the wonderful things you can think about, or say, or feel, saying, ‘Thank you’ is one of the most effective and great mantras or prayers you can make.”

Know Your True Self
“I want to encourage you by telling you: this is one of the most powerful things you can discover.”

In this short and potent guidance, Moojibaba simply invites us to sit down and be present for 10 minutes. By following this guidance you come to rest in a deeper sense of yourself, which has tremendous benefits.

“My heart just wants to encourage you, to remind you that your existence is a wonderful existence. Your spirit is pure and eternal. But I want you not just to hear me but to know that and experience this.”

Begin Discovering Your True Self Today
~ Don’t Miss this Simple Guided Meditation
~
Moojibaba invites us to use this time when many around the world are in self-quarantine for the highest aim: to discover the peace and harmony of our true nature.

“Amongst all the activities that we do, we rarely give enough time to sit quietly by ourselves. I would like to introduce to you not just to sit alone, but to guide you into your inner Being.

What you truly are is not merely what we think we are, not merely what we have been brought up to believe we are. Actually, surprisingly, beautifully, we discover a level of peace and natural well-being-ness, joy, and silence. And right here in the depth of our Self, a great calmness you will discover.

This, that we are going to discover today, you will see that it is always here. That is the most wonderful thing about this.”

Beautiful Guided Meditation: A Peaceful Life Is Priceless
This powerful and intimate guided silent sitting was recorded for us while Moojibaba is in self-quarantine, inviting us all to sit with him in the room of Being.

“I’m only guiding you, your attention, back to your natural state of stillness. A peaceful life is priceless, a peaceful mind is priceless. Here peace and contentment go together. Effortlessly at rest, no striving to be somewhere else or to be in any other state, and notice that your entire being is enjoying this rest. The more that you allow this sort of shutting down, the more you will love it. Your life, responding to this, becomes very harmonious, very silent, very happy.”

Guided Meditation — The Immensity of Being
In this short and powerful spontaneous guidance, Mooji reminds us we are awareness itself; that our sense of personhood with all its history, memories, desires and attachments is simply the illusory play of the mind. He encourages us to keep opening up, letting go, staying empty, light and free.

“The one who knows the Self is the Self.
Whatever is the state of the body-mind,
the ever-perfect one is in the heart of you.
It is your truest truth, your only constant.”
~ Mooji

This audio is an excerpt from the Guided Meditation “Remarkably, the Ever-Perfect One is Your Self,” available in the Mooji Sangha Shop on the album The Immensity of Being.

Moojibaba presents a powerful yet simple exercise — An Invitation to Freedom. This distilled and direct guidance takes us directly into the recognition of our timeless Being. Moojibaba encourages us to experience this Invitation again and again, as the mind and attention marinate and become grounded in their natural source. This is the power and grace of Satsang, to merge the ego-mind in the universal Being which is our true home. Mooji Answers During the Coronavirus Pandemic

In light of the coronavirus pandemic, many from all around the world have written letters to Moojibaba with questions, doubts and concerns arising during this challenging time, particularly in relation to the search for Truth.

Here, Mooji responds with great insight and love to a broad range of questions, including the stress and panic arising for some in response to the coronavirus, the fear of loneliness, self-inquiry and gratitude, the grief of losing loved ones, how to support one’s family and others, and the common difficulties that may arise in challenging situations.

He also shares how life has given this space away from the usual distractions and encourages us to see this time as a powerful opportunity to wake up to our true nature.

“I want to tell you, all that happens in the world, from the greatest to the smallest things, are somehow held in God consciousness. Don’t cling to the initial reaction from your mind, that you are imprisoned. Actually I’d like you to change it and think that you are being set free to spend a little time with yourself, to examine what really is here.

Many wonderful things are going to come. I wish you all good health, and openness of heart, and a great life now, and a great life to come also, here on this Earth.”

Monte Sahaja to remain closed for the remainder of 2021
24 May 2021
Portugal saw a strong wave of COVID-19 cases in early 2021 and a strict lock-down ensued for several months. Considering the current situation, Monte Sahaja will remain closed over the Summer. This means that it is not possible to come for visits of any kind, including day visits or shorter guest stays. Even though some restrictions are easing in Portugal, this closure is very likely to remain in place for the remainder of 2021.

Monte Sahaja is Currently Closed
3 June 2020
With a growing number of people continuing to be affected by COVID-19 worldwide, Monte Sahaja will remain closed for some time. This means that we will not be offering the Guest and Extended Stay programs that were scheduled for the rest of 2020. It is also not possible to come for day visits or for a shorter guest stay. This closure is likely to remain in place for an extended time.

Suspension of Activities at Monte Sahaja
~ Satsang with Moojibaba will Continue Online ~
30 April 2020

As the coronavirus pandemic continues to unfold, we have had to make an unprecedented decision about Monte Sahaja, the ashram and retreat centre in Portugal.

The pandemic has had strong repercussions for many around the world, and Monte Sahaja has also been significantly affected. Thankfully we have not had any cases of COVID-19 in Monte Sahaja or our local community; however, we have been facing many of the changes and challenges that have come alongside the pandemic.

With restrictions on large gatherings for the foreseeable future, the uncertain nature of travel, and considering the health and well-being of travellers to and from Portugal, it has become clear that many of our activities will need to be suspended for some time, particularly (but not only) those related to our programs and guests. We have looked carefully at many scenarios, and in this climate it is simply not possible for us to continue to operate in the same way or support many of the services previously offered.

Moojibaba will of course continue to offer Satsang from Monte Sahaja for the worldwide Sangha. These will be shared through Mooji TV and YouTube, as well as on Sahaja Express and through Online Retreats. However, many of the additional activities and operations are no longer sustainable during this time, and Monte Sahaja will remain closed. A small group of caretakers will stay on at Sahaja to maintain and take care of the land and facilities, and also to continue to support the sharing of Satsang. We will use this time to improve the ashram’s services and infrastructure until such time as we are truly ready to open again.

This will continue into the foreseeable future and is likely to remain in place for some extended time. We will keep you updated as to where we are in this process.

We are a close-knit community and this will affect us deeply. We will do everything in our power to take care that the transition is smooth for our community. While this is clearly a challenging time for everyone, we know in our hearts that this is the right decision and trust that the outcome will also bear fruit in many unimaginable ways.

Living alongside Moojibaba, we are deeply inspired by him as a living example of the realisation of the Self and by his natural trust in God. In this time, as in any other, he truly embodies the intuitiveness and spontaneity he points us to, meeting life freshly and openly without any personal intention, no matter what life brings.

He says, “Yes, there will be many changes, both external and internal, but I encourage you to face them in the light and spirit of pure consciousness and not personally. This will truly be an inspiring time for every true seeker—a time of renewal and a call for a fresh vision. Every trial or crisis has its hidden gems. Sometimes you have to be shaken to awaken, as Truth is what you seek. Trust and remain true to what you have discovered inside your heart. This Sangha tree will continue to bear many good fruits. I ask that each one remain in the heart and continue to stand in and with the Truth you have come to know and Be.”

The team also draws great strength from the love and care shown by the worldwide Sangha, who are very much present in our hearts now and always.

Thank you all and much love,
Monte Sahaja

Mooji and the Sangha safely back in Monte Sahaja
19 March
We are very happy to let you all know that Moojibaba and the Sangha team travelling with him are safely back in Monte Sahaja. With the coronavirus continuing to spread worldwide, international borders have been closing over the past few days, and we have received many messages of love and support, but also of concern.

Moojibaba and the team recently returned to Sahaja are very well and are taking 14 days of self-isolation as a precaution. Others in Monte Sahaja and the area have been advised to practice ‘social distancing’ as has been widely recommended in Europe. During this time, our love, thoughts and prayers are very much with the Sangha around the world and all those affected by this virus.

Lisbon Intensive cancelled & Monte Sahaja closed
11 March
As you know, there has been an outbreak of a new, infectious coronavirus called COVID-19. It began in China in late 2019, and is now affecting many other countries worldwide. The health and wellbeing of everyone is of great importance to us and we have been carefully monitoring the situation since it came to our attention in late January.

With a growing number of people affected worldwide, including outbreaks throughout Europe, we feel it is wise to cancel the Lisbon Satsang Intensive (29 April – 3 May) and also close Monte Sahaja for some time. This closing came into effect on March 10, and means that we will not be offering the Guest and Extended Stay programs that were scheduled for March to May.

We are also implementing a 14-day self-quarantine for the team returning to Monte Sahaja and the local area who were supporting the recent Open Satsangs in India or travelling elsewhere recently.

These precautionary measures are being taken to support and protect the health and wellbeing of our local community and also the Sangha to the best of our ability. We feel these are the responsible steps to be taken at this time, which are truly in the best interests of everyone, especially those who would participate in our events and programs, and those who live in Portugal and our local area, many of whom are elderly and therefore more vulnerable at this time.
