These Questions Are the Pathway to Self-Realisation

In this deeply introspective satsang in the Mandir, several students present the quote that they have chosen to contemplate. Moojibaba tests their own understanding and then further illumines the significance of the pointers chosen.

“I hear my quote in every satsang: You are nothing of what can be seen. I recede.”

Recede means all the things that come and arise in the mind or through the senses, all these you can see. What perceives them, is that coming and going?

"I felt there is some distance from you and I want to offer this."

What are you perceiving yourself to be? We can start there.

"At first I didn't understand when we ask, 'what is perceiving?'. But the answer came, ‘It must be consciousness.’"

Is consciousness what you have or what you are?

"I would like to look at the quote ‘I removes I, yet remains I’.

Consciousness is there as ‘I’.
What also appears as ‘I’ is the sense of person which is a very localised, a very particularised ‘I’. So why did it need to remove the ‘I’?
