In Honour of Shanti – Celia Teresita Freidenberg

Our beloved sangha sister, Shanti, passed away peacefully in the evening of 9th August, 2024.

Shanti is a much loved member of the sangha, and had a unique life, having met and served Osho, Papaji, and Moojibaba. She devoted her life to a genuine search for Truth. Her long time connection with Moojibaba, started from the days of Satsang with Papaji in Lucknow, India.

Over the years, Shanti came to Monte Sahaja many times, and has always been a special presence, with her uniquely straightforward and sincere way of expressing and being.  Shanti had a deep love for gardening and jumped into this seva from her first visit to Sahaja. There was never a chance to question her age or her physical condition. She simply took up this seva with dedication, love, and a playful spirit and was a member of the landcare team whenever she visited. 

In recent years, her time in Sahaja proved to be transformative, visibly evident to all who know her. This transformation and deepening are a testament to Shanti’s persistence and dedication to Truth.

After finding out about her cancer diagnosis, Shanti was in close contact with Moojibaba,
who was very present with her over the past weeks.

God bless you, our beloved Shanti. May you rest in timeless peace.
