Amongst the sadhus and hermits wandering in the Himalayan regions, one may hear them calling out, “Jai Bhole! Har Har Mahadev!”, a call to their beloved Lord Shiva. This song is an invocation to Lord Shiva Bholenath – innocent and pure, and who destroys ignorance, awakening us to eternal life.

‘Bholenath’: Another name for Lord Shiva; innocent, child-like, kind-hearted Lord.
‘Bam’: A bija mantra/name for Shiva.
